PG6561B – GE Frame 6B
Description
The GE Frame 6B Gas Turbine is a proven heavy-duty industrial gas turbine widely used in power generation, cogeneration, and mechanical drive applications across the oil & gas, petrochemical, and industrial sectors.
Overview
Designed for reliability, fuel flexibility, and long operational life, the Frame 6B delivers approximately 40–45 MW of power output and is capable of operating on a wide range of gaseous and liquid fuels. With more than 1,200 units installed worldwide and over 55 million operating hours, the 6B platform is recognised for its robust performance, ease of maintenance, and suitability for both simple-cycle and combined-cycle operations. The Frame 6B is particularly valued for remote and demanding environments due to its black start capability, island mode operation, and high fuel adaptability, including natural gas, distillates, heavy fuel oil, and selected alternative fuels. Its modular design and extensive global installed base make it a cost-effective and dependable solution for long-term asset operation and lifecycle support.
